Comenius "BORDERS"  2009-2011

 

The "IIS AMALDI" will realize the Comeniusproject, " BORDERS" in the time period of 2009-2011.

The project “Borders” aims at:

  • Searching for the European common identity, roots and values through the study of the main events of the contemporary history, especially from the sixties to present day;
     
  • Making the students aware of and comparing the social, cultural, economic and  political evolution in the countries of the partners, emphasizing important facts and personalities since the 60s;
     
  • Understanding the meaning of national borders and reinforcing tolerance, freedom and peace;
     
  • Crossing psychological borders in order to overcome prejudices and strengthen friendship
     
  • European young people in our partner schools will be able to improve their knowledge in different fields ­- literature, art, history, music, sport,  philosophy -  concerning not only theirs  but also the partners’ countries, in the past and in the present. By the end of the project the partner students are supposed to have got a better European awareness which will lead to an attitude of respect towards the other’s cultures and values.

2. Videoconference about values (responsible partner school Vienna)
3. Psychological, physical and social Borders in everyday life, Common final product: Video (responsible partner school Almada)
4. Borders Competition: pictures on CD/DVD with painting or projection on the face, drawings, expressing points of view about borders, Common final product: Pictures on CD/DVD (responsible partner school Turin)
5. Comparison of the approach of the same historical events in different textbooks in the partner schools, Common final product: Book

6. Sport has no Borders – the Evolution from 60s until today, Common final product: Video (responsible partner school Antalya)
7. Information about the project , Common final product: booklet/ leaflet containing the results of different tasks about the topic „Borders“

8. Experimental CLIL lessons during the mobilities in every partner school with different partners´ languages

2. Literature and Music after the 60s, Common final product: E-Book
3. Women’s emancipation in the last decades, Common final product: Theatre and film
4. Biography of personalities who fought against borders in the partner countries, Common final product: Portfolio
4. European society from the 60s until now, Common final product: Multimedia product
5. Information about the project , Common final product: booklet / leaflet containing the results of different tasks about the topic „Borders“
6. Experimental CLIL lessons during the mobilities in every partner school with different partners´ languages.
